Grading Policies

Graphic Design I Grading Policy :

It is the student's responsibility to ask questions, take verbal instructions, and receive the proper information so that assignments are completed and presented correctly. Any time a student is absent from class, lab, or other scheduled events, it is the student's responsibility to make up the work.

All deadlines must be met. Late projects will be reduced by fifteen (15) points. No project will be accepted any later than 14 calendar days (2 weeks) after its initial deadline. Final project will not be accepted late.

Individual project grades will be based on:

Industry standards for electronic printing, craftsmanship and presentation

Creativity and originality of design

Compliance with written and oral instructions

Final grades will be based on an average of text assignments, performance projects, quizzes, and major projects.

 

Grades are based on the following:

15% - Chapter Exercises (Text)

10% - Quizzes/Critiques

65% - Projects (Class Handouts)

10% - Final Projects (2)
